Course Learning Outcomes

  • Evaluate advanced cyber threats and develop effective strategies for threat intelligence, incident response, and digital forensics.
  • Design and implement advanced cyber defence strategies, including threat detection, monitoring, and response mechanisms.
  • Conduct ethical hacking and penetration testing activities to identify and remediate security weaknesses in systems, networks, and applications.
  • Develop comprehensive incident response plans and demonstrate proficiency in digital forensics investigation techniques.

Graduate Diploma in Cyber Security

The Graduate Diploma in Cyber Security is designed exclusively as an exit qualification for students enrolled in the Master of Cyber Security program at ISGL. As such, there are no direct admissions to the diploma program. Students must meet the following requirements:

Completion of Graduate Certificate in Cyber Security:

  • To be eligible for the Graduate Diploma, students must have successfully completed the Graduate Certificate in Cyber Security, which forms the first part of the master's program.
  • The Graduate Certificate covers foundational topics in cyber security, and completion of this module is a prerequisite for progressing to the diploma.

Academic Performance:

  • Students must have maintained satisfactory academic progress throughout the Graduate Certificate and the subsequent modules in the first year of the Master of Cyber Security.

Additional Pathway for Master’s Students:

  • Students who meet the above requirements and decide not to continue with the full Master of Cyber Security can opt to exit with the Graduate Diploma qualification, which provides core knowledge in areas such as information security, network defence, and incident response.

Application Process

Step 1: Application

  • Email ISGL on admissions@isgl.com.au with your personal information, academic and professional background expressing interest in the program
  • Submit an online application via the link shared by ISGL admissions.
  • Upload all supporting documents in the online application.

Step 2: Evaluation and Interview
ISGL establishes a shortlist of potential applicants based on:

  • Past academic performance and other achievements
  • Past work experience
  • English language proficiency to ensure successful participation

All shortlisted applicants will be notified in writing by ISGL that their application has proceeded to the shortlist for interviews.

  • A personal interview with one of the members of the institution’s academic staff. The interview is designed to assess the applicant's communication skills, analytical skills, and aptitude.

Step 3: Admission Results

Applicants are emailed an admission decision approximately within 14 days after the evaluation interviews.
